Our story

A bakery that grew out of one kitchen table

Willow & Bloom started as a Saturday-morning habit — a couple of sourdough loaves, baked at home and dropped round to neighbours who kept asking for more. Word travelled faster than the dough could prove, and within a year the kitchen table had turned into a proper bakehouse.

We still bake the way we did back then: long, slow ferments, good flour, and nothing rushed. No shortcuts, no improvers, no loaves sitting around waiting for someone to buy them — just small batches, timed so the ovens and the counter meet each other at the right moment.

These days it's a small team of early risers who care far too much about crust colour, but the spirit hasn't changed. We're still, at heart, just people who like feeding the street they live on.

A few kind words from regulars

The cinnamon buns are the reason I now walk the long way to the station. Worth every extra minute.

— Sarah, local customer

Ordered a celebration cake for my dad's birthday and it disappeared in about four minutes flat. High praise, really.

— D. Osei, regular Saturday visitor

Their sourdough has ruined every other loaf for me. Crust like glass, crumb like a cloud. I'm not exaggerating much.
